Commercial relationships

Different Partnerships. Clearly Defined Responsibilities.

Agency, distribution, representation and sourcing arrangements can take different forms. Hillview invites enquiries that explain the product, market, intended role and commercial expectations.

Hillview International does not list partners on this website. Each proposed relationship is evaluated on its own terms.

01

Agency & Representation

Clarify the principal, market, permitted activities, reporting responsibilities and exclusivity expectations.

An agent acts within limits set by the principal. Spelling out those limits, including pricing authority and who signs contracts, avoids misunderstandings later.

02

Distribution & Dealership

Define products, territory, inventory ownership, after-sales responsibilities and commercial terms.

Distributors usually take ownership of stock and carry market risk. Agreements should address minimums, returns, warranty handling and marketing support.

03

Sourcing & Supply Relationships

Identify buyer requirements, verification needs, quality standards and logistics responsibilities.

A sourcing relationship works when both sides agree how suppliers are vetted, how quality is checked and who bears costs if goods do not meet specification.

04

Franchise, Licensing & Business Association

Consider contractual rights, intellectual property, territorial restrictions and approvals where relevant.

Franchise and licensing models can trigger disclosure and registration obligations. Independent legal advice is essential before entering any such arrangement.

05
